GQM-2-15 laboratory jar mill
GQM-2-15 Laboratory Jar Mill
Model: GQM-2-15
Application: Laboratory / Small batch production / Ultra-fine grinding & mixing
Product Overview
The GQM-2-15 Laboratory Jar Mill (also known as a roller mill or ball mill) is designed for ultra-fine grinding, mixing, and small-batch production in laboratory settings. Featuring stainless steel jars, an advanced variable frequency drive (VFD) , and an emergency stop button, this compact and user-friendly unit is widely used in electronics, magnetic materials, biomedicine, ceramic glazes, metal powders, non-metallic minerals, and advanced material research.

Key Features
1. High Efficiency & Uniform Particle Size
Materials and grinding media inside the jar are lifted to a certain height by rotation and then fall in a parabolic trajectory. Impact, rolling, friction, and shear forces ensure efficient grinding with excellent uniformity.
2. Variable Frequency Drive (VFD)
The built-in VFD allows real-time speed adjustment between 40 – 365 rpm based on material characteristics and process requirements. Ideal for both dry and wet grinding.
3. Emergency Stop Switch
A prominently placed emergency stop button provides instant power cut-off for operator and equipment safety in case of any abnormal condition.
4. Dual-Jar Design
Two stainless steel jars can be operated simultaneously. Maximum load per jar: 80 kg, significantly improving laboratory productivity.
5. Durable & Low Maintenance
Heavy-duty steel frame with chrome-plated or rubber-coated rollers ensures stable, quiet operation. Stainless steel jars are hard, corrosion-resistant, and non-contaminating, meeting stringent material preparation standards.
Working Principle
The GQM-2-15 lab jar mill uses a “cascade and impact” grinding mechanism. The motor rotates the rollers via a gear reducer, which in turn rotates the grinding jars. Grinding balls (e.g., zirconia or agate balls) inside the jar are carried upward by friction and then cascade down, repeatedly impacting and shearing the material to achieve micron or even nano-scale fineness.
