1. Check the ball mill machine. Open the wooden box of the laboratory ball mill and check whether the appearance of the planetary ball grinding mill is damaged by bumps. If there is no abnormality, turn on the power.

2. Place the ball mill jar evenly. Generally, the total weight of the four ball mill jars on the main wheel should be basically the same to keep the planetary ball mill running smoothly, reduce vibration caused by noise, and prolong the service life of the planetary vertical ball mill. If the sample size is small, two ball mill jars can be used for symmetrical grinding.

3. Samples. Take a small amount of samples, the solid particles generally do not exceed 3 mm, and the soil allows 10 mm.

4. Start trial operation. After loading the sample, turn on the power switch of the lab ball mill machine for trial operation, and the planetary ball mill starts to run. You can adjust the speed during operation and observe whether there is any abnormality.

5. Canning. Put the prepared grinding balls into the ball mill jar.

6. Sampling. It is recommended that the volume of samples and grinding balls should not exceed 2/3 of the volume of the ball mill, and the rest should be reserved for grinding.

7. Set the grinding parameters. Planetary ball mill grinding machine are generally controlled by microcomputer programs. We need to adjust the setting speed, grinding time, interval time and the number of alternate operations according to the experimental requirements.

8. Sampling. Wear protective gloves when sampling, and pay attention to the temperature of the ball mill and the sample to prevent burns due to excessive temperature.
